7/9/19
Another morning we woke up around 5:45 so we can all eat breakfast and pack to go to the new camp sight about 3 hours away. I and my mom packed our bags and sleeping bags also our sleeping mats. Half way through packing our tent we had to make our lunch and eat breakfast and I got hot coco. After breakfast we put the rest of the tent away and packed our van with all of our stuff the van barely has enough room for me, my mom, and to other kids. Then we started to pack the other big vans with the tables and tubs full of the food. After we got all the vans packed we went to go get our trail cams to look at the footage. Our first cam had nothing on it the leaves triggered the camera and the second had got triggered by a moth and the trees because the wind blew the third camera got triggered by a squirrel and the wind. After we looked at the footage we went to camp chaparral to go fill up water for the road trip. In our talking circle we discussed the decline of the huckleberries. I think it is the lack of fire has increased the encroachment of bear grass, vegetation, and trees.

7/8/19
We woke up around 6:30 again and I got up and made a fire for everybody to keep warm in the morning. Then the cooking group made chocolate chip pancakes and hot water for hot coco. After breakfast we cleaned everything up washed dishes and put everything away. Then we went to potato hill to hike and pick flowers to press them. It took a while to walk up the hill but not too long because I had the fast group. On the way up we say a big footprint bigger then my whole hand. When we made it to the top we were going to take pictures of mount Adams but it was to foggy to see the top of the mountain we just seen the bottom of the mountain. After we looked at the view we went down the dirt trail and ran down and got dirty a lot. Once we made it to the bottom we loaded up and me my mom and a few other students went to mosquito lake to fish they have a public boat that you can use and I almost fell of like 100 times. After we tried to fish the boat didn’t have any paddles so we used a stick and moved along then I was pushing us with the stick to the shore and jumped off to the land and the boat drifted away and I had to take off my socks and shirt to get the other students in the boat and we were really dirty so it was good anyway because we cleaned off. After that entire struggle we decided to jump off the boat to have a little fun before we left. When we got back to the camp sight I changed my clothes and I made another fire to keep warm and we were going to blog and press flowers at our campsite but it started to rain so we went to camp chaparral to do our flower pressing and blog.

Then we went to camp chaparral and made our blogs for a couple hours. After we made our blogs we helped camp chaparral clean-up for their campers coming for the summer. Then we went back to the camp sight ad ate dinner. Then after dinner we had a circle introducing ourselves and had s’mores. After s’mores we went to bed.

7/6/19

On the way up to our first campsite it took a long time but we got to see a bear and a dear also a few chipmunks. We went to Castile Falls and we looked over the nice view of the 30ft view of the Castille Fall.  I looked and stood over the very edge about 30ft up and my mom was scared because she hates heights. After Castille Falls we went to camp chaparral to go bathroom and the other vans were not there yet so we thought  we were lost and about to head back to the valley. We went back to the campsite to go swim in the river and we heard a car pull in and I told my mom that it was probably the other students and sure enough it was the other  students  setting up their tents and then we dried off and put our tents. Our first night for dinner we had spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad. For dessert we made a fire and roasted s’mores.  Then after s’mores we did a circle introducing ourselves. Then went to bed around ten and it was a cold night.
